Cover Crop Workshop and Tour

November 14, 2014. Please save the date for the 6th annual Cover Crop Workshop and Tour at the USDA-NRCS Big Flats Plant Materials Center. We will tour the cover crop plots staged to observe the differences in the fall growth due to timing and species. There will be cover crop mixes to observe compatibility between species. The no-till 3 way interseeder has been used to seed demonstration plots and will be observed. A demonstration of seeding red clover at time of corn planting using herbicides to stunt the cover crops while controlling the weeds will be observed. There will be talks from presenters from Cornell, Penn State, Seed Suppliers and Consultants.
